Lodge Deeside No3081 (English Constitution) paid their annual
visit to Lodge Balgonie's Regular Meeting on Thursday 2nd March.
This was also the Lodge's annual visitation from the Provincial
Grand Lodge of Fife and Kinross. The following day, 34 Brethren
from the province and North Wales paid a visit to The Lady Haig
Poppy Factory in Edinburgh. The group were met by Bro Gordon
Michie PM and workers from the factory, who were all ex-service.
The Brethren were given a fascinating tour around the factory and
also given the chance to make some poppy's. A special thank you to
all the guys who took time out to show us around and made us feel
very welcome and humble. Also to Bro Gordon Michie PM for helping
organising the visit and for presenting certificates for
donations.
Leaving the Lady Haig Factory, the Brethren headed to Lodge
Roslyn. The Brethren were given a slide show before making the
short walk to Roslyn Chapel. After a fascinating tour around the
Roslyn Chapel , it was back to Lodge Roslyn for some hospitality.
A special thanks to Lodge Roslyn for hosting us and also to Bro
Colin Davie PM for organising the day.
